How to steal Brainrots: pick a route and survive the return

Plan a short raid, account for carrying restrictions and understand when the steal succeeds.

Quick answer

Choose an unlocked base with a useful Brainrot and a short return route. Use the steal interaction, then return directly to your own base. Public guides report slower movement, disabled item use while carrying and an alert to the owner; being hit can send the Brainrot back before you secure it.

Scout before you pick anything up

Stealing is explicitly part of the official Roblox experience. Pro Game Guides recommends nearby targets because a long escape gives defenders more chances to catch you. All Things How and Racoon describe carrying restrictions; PC Gamer’s September 2025 play report describes hitting a carrier to return the unit. Together, these make route length and timing more useful than choosing a target solely because its rarity looks impressive.

  1. Secure your own base first. Read its remaining lock time and decide whether you can return before your collection becomes exposed. Do not sacrifice your strongest earner just to attempt a speculative raid.
  2. Identify the unlocked entrance and the Brainrot you want. Check the route from that slot back to your base, including floors, obstacles and nearby players. Choose a useful target with a route you already understand.
  3. Wait for a legitimate opening and use the displayed interaction to lift the target. Expect the defender to notice. Do not plan the escape around using a coil, cloak or teleport after pickup unless the current client specifically allows it.
  4. Take the direct route home instead of stopping to fight or inspect other units. If you are hit and the Brainrot returns, abandon that attempt, recover your position and protect your own base before trying again.
  5. After a successful return, confirm that the Brainrot is in your base and earning. Lock up, collect cash and decide what lower-income unit to replace if space is limited.

Our recommendation for practice is one low-stakes attempt with a clear stop condition: if the opening closes or the defender is waiting on your route, retreat. Judge success by how often you finish the return, not how often you touch a rare unit. A friend can coordinate a distraction as PGG suggests, but that does not guarantee a successful steal or remove the risk to either base.

Version check

Public reporting checked September 30, 2026 agrees on the basic carrying risk; some detailed PvP sources are from 2025. We omit fixed paid-unlock prices and commercial sites’ advanced bypass claims. Use normal in-game mechanics and learn available controls with low-value targets before risking an important collection.

Common questions

Can I use gear while carrying a stolen Brainrot?

All Things How reports that items are disabled while carrying. Plan around that restriction and check the current interface before relying on a particular tool.

Does touching a Brainrot complete the steal?

No. The practical objective is to reach your own base and confirm it is placed there.

Why did my stolen Brainrot disappear from my hands?

The cited guides report that a defender’s hit can return it to its original base before you finish the steal.
