Steal a Brainrot base defense: locks, alerts and recovery

Use the timer as a travel budget

Public guides consistently describe a temporary base lock rather than permanent protection. The player-run beginner wiki says rebirths extend the lock; exact starting and join timers vary between reports. Read the live countdown and allow enough time to return. A locked-looking base is not a reason to stop checking its state.

1. Find the lock control before you buy valuable units. Activate it when available, then watch how the current timer and entrance barrier behave. Learn the route from the carpet to that control without searching for it during a raid.
2. Identify your most important earners and any characters needed for the next Rebirth. Know where they sit so you can respond to an alert without checking every slot.
3. Keep a defensive weapon accessible. When someone is carrying your Brainrot, prioritize reaching that carrier over chasing another player who is only distracting you. Public guides describe a hit returning the carried unit before the steal completes.
4. Relock when the control becomes available, confirm the returned unit is present and check your income. If the theft already completed, reassess your surviving base before attempting a revenge raid.
5. Shorten trips when you cannot cover the next unlock. Our recommendation is to stop shopping or raiding before the timer becomes urgent, especially when a single unit provides most of your earnings.

Gear is a supporting layer. Spend first on a problem you actually have: slow returns, missed alerts or an exposed approach. Buying every unlocked item can delay a useful income upgrade without solving the reason you are losing units. Practice any new tool with modest stakes so its control is familiar when a real thief arrives.

Protect value rather than appearance

If one Brainrot accounts for most of your cash generation, losing it is more damaging than losing several collectibles with low output. Keep required Rebirth characters in your priority list too. Defense planning should reflect both earning value and progression value; a rarity badge alone does not tell you what a loss will cost.
