Steal a Brainrot mutations: factors and practical checks

Compare reported mutation factors, separate them from traits, and check the actual unit rate before valuing an upgrade.

Quick answer

A mutation changes a Brainrot’s variant and income. Community references describe one mutation per character; several traits can accompany it. The table below is a dated mutation-only reference, not an unconditional combined-income formula.

Gold, Diamond and Rainbow factors appear in both the Fandom community reference and the independent hyphenated Wiki. Later factors above are reported by Fandom. None of these rows establishes a current spawn chance, an active hourly schedule, or a universal machine recipe. An older unit can retain a variant even when the event that created it is unavailable.

Compare two copies of the same character

  1. Match the complete Brainrot name, then identify the mutation label on each copy.
  2. Check traits as well as mutation. A Gold copy with several traits can differ substantially from an unmodified Rainbow copy.
  3. Read the displayed cash-per-second figure. Use that observed figure for an immediate income comparison rather than combining multipliers from different websites.
  4. Check the actual cost or proposed exchange separately. A larger income factor does not automatically justify a larger trade offer.

A mutation-only example

As arithmetic, a $100/s base multiplied by Gold’s reported 1.25 factor produces $125/s before other bonuses or rounding. This is a worked comparison, not a measured current-client result. A whole-base multiplier, traits, display rounding, or a buff to the underlying character can change the final tag.

Do not multiply every label together

Written sources disagree on trait notation and stacking. Fandom’s examples add trait contributions to the mutation factor, while other references mix contribution values with standalone totals. We therefore keep the mutation-only table separate from trait comparisons. Copying a list of standalone factors into a multiplication chain can overstate an item’s earnings.

Index rewards need their own checks

The general mutation overview describes a 75% collection target, while Fandom’s more detailed Index page distinguishes permanent and historical seasonal requirements. Use the current Index target for the selected variant, not a blanket 75% rule.

Common questions

Can a Brainrot have Gold and Rainbow at the same time?

The community references describe one mutation per Brainrot. Traits are a separate layer and may coexist with that mutation.

Is Phantom guaranteed to be available in the current event?

No. A published factor does not establish today’s event schedule or spawn route. Read the current game announcement and unit label.
